Ghana coach Otto Addo has refused to shut the door for English internationals of Ghanaian descent Eddie Nketiah and Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Nketiah and Odoi has already made an appearance for the Three Lions of England but are still eligible to switch allegiance to represent Ghana.

The Ghana FA has been in touch with the duo as they seek to lure them to play for the Black Stars.

Nketiah, who plies his trade for Arsenal has capped just once for England whiles Hudson-Odoi of Nottingham Forest has three appearances.

However, Otto Addo unveiling his squad for the 2025 AFCON qualifying games against Angola and Niger disclosed his doors are still open for the English-born Ghanaians.

“The door is still open for Hudson Odoi, Eddie Nketiah, but it is always about quality” he said.

Meanwhile, the Black Stars will face Angola at the Baba Yara Stadium on September 5 before travelling to take on Niger in Morocco on September 9.

The AFCON qualifiers are crucial for the Black Stars, who are seeking to secure a spot in the tournament.

It is important to note that the two top countries from each group will secure automatic qualification to the CAF biggest competition on the continent.
