Ghana international Yaw Yeboah was on target on Wednesday as Columbus Crew secured an away win in the Major League Soccer.

The former Ghana U23 captain made substitute appearance when his outfit locked horns with Philadelphia Union at the Subaru Park.

Yeboah, who was introduced in the 62nd minute mark emerged as the hero after scoring the match-winner to hand his outfit the three maximum points.

The former Black Stars forward headed in the winning goal in the 75th minute mark from Max Arfsten cross.

It was his first goal in the MLS this season, netting for the first time since 9th December 2023 against Los Angeles.

Yeboah recently helped Columbus Crew to annex the 2024 Leagues Cup after beating Los Angles FC 3-1. He was an unused substitute in the game when his outfit triumphed over their opponent to clinch the trophy.

He becomes the first Ghanaian player to win the Leagues Cup, adding it to the MLS title he won last season with the club.

The former Ghana U23 captain joined Crew in 2021 after leaving Polish outfit Wisla Krakow and has since been a key cog in the Crew set up.
