Black Stars head coach, Otto Addo, says his focus is on next week’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

He said this after he was asked whether the Black Stars can qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States of America, Canada and Mexico.

These comments were made during a press conference held at the Ghana Football Association’s Headquarters to announce his squad for the AFCON qualifiers against Angola and Niger in Accra on Thursday, August 29, 2024.

“It will be a mistake to be thinking ahead of what I can do, but what I am doing at the moment is thinking about Angola because they are difficult sides, and that is what I am doing,” Otto Addo said.

Ghana will face Angola in Kumasi on Thursday, September 5, 2024 before taking on Niger four days later in Morocco.

Niger does not have a statement approved by CAF to host continental games.
