Dr. Randy Abbey, an Executive Council Member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has confirmed that the GFA will soon reveal the renewal of their partnership with betPawa.

The betting company initially signed a deal to become the headline sponsor for Ghana's top-flight football but withdrew its support during the 2023/24 season, causing concerns about the future of the collaboration.

Abbey reassured fans and stakeholders, stating, “Well, it’s a partnership that was signed for one year; there was the expression to renew from both parties and we have gone far," he told Joy Sports.

He confirmed that negotiations have progressed significantly, and both parties are nearing an agreement.

“I can say that we have almost concluded with negotiation and I’m sure that in the next few days, both parties will announce the details, so we are renewing for another year,” he added

With the new Ghana Premier League season set to kick off on September 6, the confirmation of the sponsorship renewal holds significant importance for the league's upcoming activities.
