Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has laid out the conditions under which he will hand a Black Stars call-up to the team’s captain Andre Ayew.

The former Borussia Dortmund talent coach says the 34-year-old needs to sign for a club and score 20 goals so he could consider calling him into the team again.

He has not been attached to a club since his contract with Le Havre expired and was not renewed at the end of the season.

Andre Ayew has not received a Black Stars call-up in the past two international breaks after Otto Addo decided he was not needed at this moment.

During his squad announcement for the two 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Angola and Morocco, he was asked again whey Andre was not called up for the games.

Otto Addo said, “Andre Ayew is a good player, but at the moment, he is not here. He doesn't have a club, but nobody knows the future.

“If he gets a club and performs and scores 20 goals, maybe he can return because we are building something for the future.”
