On Monday, August 26, 2024, Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku led the sod-cutting ceremony for the construction of a gymnasium, swimming pool, and Futsal Arena at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence (GSCE) in Prampram.

Joined by the Executive Council, GFA staff, and Congress delegates, President Okraku emphasized the significance of these facilities in enhancing player development and rehabilitation.

The gymnasium will boost players' physical conditioning, while the swimming pool will be a rehabilitation hub for both players and officials. The GSCE, already home to four dormitories, a multipurpose hall, and four pitches (including a floodlit artificial turf), will see its reputation elevated by these additions.

Okraku urged the construction team to stay on schedule and expressed confidence that these developments would elevate Ghana’s football infrastructure. Funded partly by FIFA Forward Funds, the improvements aim to solidify the GSCE as a premier training facility for national teams and aspiring footballers alike.
